How To Grow An Endless Supply of Blueberries

Blueberries are ideally suited for growing in containers because they have a shallow root system that easily adapts to the tight confines of a container.

Select plants that are well suited for growing in pot such as Top Hat. (here)

The soil must be the right acid pH, should be in the range of 4.5 to 5.0. The most common cause of   blueberry death is the wrong pH.

Fill the container two-thirds full with the acidic soil mix.

Center the blueberry bush in the container .Fill in with soil just to the crown. Blueberry roots are       shallow so you don’t want to plant the shrub deeper than it was in the nursery pot.

Water well and fill in resulting air pockets with more soil.

Spread 1 to 2 inches of acidic mulch like pine needles on top of the soil.

When it comes to good blueberry production, the more sun the better. Place in a sunny location with at least six hours of sun a day.
