Bipolar disorder: People who suffer from bipolar disorder cycle regularly between depression & mania, a state shown by impulsive behavior and excessive physical activity. This herb may lead to mania in the individuals as well as speed up this cycling between depression & mania.

Infertility: St. John’s wort may interfere with conceiving a baby. If you try to conceive, avoid using St. John’s wort.
