Medical centres and doctors are supposed to help people maintain and improve their health. Besides the treatment of diseases, they should obstruct health problems. The patients should be doctors’ priority.
Of course, the accent is put on the word “should”…
Sadly, in real life, there are many examples which prove quite the opposite. Medical management is directed towards treating diseases with medications rather than questioning and examining the patient as a person.
Are Doctors Misdiagnosing Patients For Money?
It is a widely spread fact that medicine and healthcare are well-paying authorities. Unfortunately, many of the doctors want to gain profit regardless of your best option for treatment. Therefore, they first concentrate on how to make a profit and then how to treat you.
Scandalously, some doctors give an incorrect diagnosis in order to make more money. Can you believe this? It is outrageous, but it is true.
Luckily, most of these doctors are caught in the act. Nowadays, people have access to information at any time and any place; thus they have up-to-date information.
For instance, Dr Farid Fata, a doctor in Michigan diagnosed people with cancer. Although the people were healthy, he did not hesitate to make a false diagnosis. Can you imagine what these people went through? Not only they suffered from the emotional field, but he also made them start with chemotherapy. You may be wondering why; the answer is “profit”. He did not care for their emotional state or their health; his primary purpose was to make a profit.
What if you were one of these people? What if you were diagnosed falsely with cancer? What if you had to pay much money for nothing and even go through a treatment of chemical which is harmful and have negative aftereffects? Understandably, these people were amazed and horrified.
Dr Sayed Mohammed, who is an oncologist in retirement, is not surprised by this case. He says that this happens more often than we know and he has seen many cases like this many years ago. He puts businesspeople and doctors in the same basket and defines them as deceitful, immoral beings. The main difference between these is that you buy things from, but you trust doctors with your health.
Catching Fraud In The Medical Industry
We all think that doctors like Dr Fata should be found instantly and, but in real life, this is not the case. For example, this doctor falsely diagnosed his patients for seven years, more precisely from 2009 to 2016. He had 1,200 people for patients. By all means, some of these people maybe had cancer for real but what about the rest of them.
Approximately hundreds of people went under treatment of chemotherapy. As for Dr Fata’s profit, Medicare paid him 62 million dollars. Later on, when he was caught, he went to jail, but this did not help to people who were under his treatment.
As Dr Sayed Mohammed said, this happens very often in medicine. Dr Fata is just one of the many doctors who falsely diagnose patients.
As an illustration, people who have prostate cancer are seldom falsely diagnosed. This happens because of the fact that this disease is easily related to a protein produced by the prostate gland. Although only 3% of patients die from prostate cancer, 90% of their doctors persuade patients to go through costly treatments.
Moreover, doctors convince women to do hysterectomies in order to treat cancer successfully. However, these operations do not refine the rates of survival. It is not proven that with hysterectomy you will eliminate cancer.
From the above, it can be concluded that misdiagnosing is done very often. When people are misdiagnosed, they have also prescribed the wrong medications and go under high-cost treatments.
When people start buying falsely prescribed medications more side effects are expected. Then, they have to buy even more drugs to improve their well-being. This is a never-ending circle.
How Could A Medical Professional Misdiagnose A Patient?
Profit is the key word here. On the one hand, if there is no disease, there are no prescribed medications; there are no high priced treatments. The same goes for natural therapies; for example, if you change your lifestyle and diet, there is no profit for the medical industry. On the other hand, there is profit for the health care industry if you start treating your disease with pills and treatments and start seeing your doctor more often. This system destroys you; it doesn’t care at all about your well-being; it cares about how to make money.
Are we helpless regarding this issue? Do we have to tolerate this system? Can we change anything about it?
To conclude, if you are diagnosed with some disease never hesitate to ask for second or sometimes even third opinion. It is better when more doctors confirm your condition. Maybe some of them will find something that will improve your situation.
After seeing more doctors, you can be sure that your diagnosis is correct and can start with your treatment or medications. Also, take into consideration functional medicine or naturopathic doctors that will help you with natural therapies. For instance, be hydrated all the time, eat healthy food, do exercises as much as you can, try to reduce your stress level, etc. You don’t have to wait; prevention is better than cure. Always give your body and mind what they need. Take care of them as they are your temple. If you cannot do this on your own, some professionals can help you go through your life changes.
